I am so lucky

I just have to share with you how lucky I am.  During this process I have talked to other people who have not had a lot of support with their WLS and others who have had people make uneducated comments regarding it.

Well I have to say that I have had an out pouring of support from my family, my friends, and my coworkers.  I feel so lucky!!!  The girls at work presented a basket to me today filled with books, puzzles, SF Jello, 4oz food containers, slippers, and lots of other stuff.  I was so touched.  My brother and his family, my parents, and my daughter are coming from Maine to be with me at the hospital, my  husband has taken time off from work to be with me.

I feel truly blessed!!  PLUS of course I have had all of your support.  It really means a lot to me.  Everyone at Dr. Looser's office (Betty and Gail) have been wonderful.

Nancy and Cindy are great and Pam the preop nurse knows her stuff.  I really feel like I am going to be taken care of.

I just had to gush about how great I am feeling about everything and everybody today!!!!!

Hi Julie,

That is SO great that you have unlimited support!  There's no need for negativity when it comes to this surgery.  Surrounding yourself with only positive people is the way to go.  You are very lucky and so was I!  That was a great gift you received from your co-workers.  I'm sure you will be well cared for after your surgery.  Accept everything they offer.  You will recover faster.  Best of luck!

Isn't it great!  I couldn't imagine how much harder this journey would have been if I hadn't been totally supported by everyone.  I was overwhelmed by how supportive people were.
Good luck with your surgery.

That is so wonderful that you have such support.  We should all be that lucky, and not afraid to tell people our decision.
