HAD MY SURGERY
Well, It is finally over and I am feeling great. I have had such problems with gas though, any ideas how to release it -- kind of collected in my shoulder. Other than that, things are good. Had the surgery on the 15th stayed over night and came home the next day. Not sure if I can tell if the pains are gas or hunger. Any ideas??
They are probably from the gas used to inflate your abdomen for the procedure. They go away when they're ready. The best way to help get rid of this kind of gas, like the other kind, is the walk a lot. So, up and moving. Congratulations on the beginning of a whole new way of life!!

Congadulations! I'll be having mine on 7/20. I've been reading a lot of people have a hard time with the gas, this is good to know. I also live in Manchester so if you ever want to hook up and support each other with walking together you can count me in. I think the best thing is to meet people who can give the support we'll need. Best of luck to you and keep us posted on how you're doing.
This week is kind of crazy, I have a show to go to Thursday night then I leave for the north country on Friday for 3 days of camping with my husband so that means grocery shopping Tuesday and packing Wednesday. I have more time available next week and would lovet o hook up and meet and maybe start walking together. I start my liquid diet on July 6 and surgery is 7/20. Let me know if you want to hook up some night next week, I get back to Manchester from work around 5:30.
On anotehr note, I hope all is working out well for you.
