Ok Sam is only 2 weeks out tomorrow and has come down with a summer cold.  Any sugestions on what he should take? the liquid tylanol cold has too much sugar in it and we are afraid of dumping.

Thanks for the help

Long hot shower and inhale the steam; or a neti pot for nasal congestion (also saline nasal spray).

You can figure out the dose of childs or infant tylenol liquid without the sugar. Or break up regular tylenol tablets into little pieces (Dr. Gens told me smaller than an M & M was OK).

Unfortunately just as before there is not a lot you or anyone else can do about a cold. They get better in 7 days with treatment and a week without treatment. Jus****ch for signs of a more serious problem (coughing up nasty stuff, high fever, etc).

Don't hesitate to call the PCP or surgeon for advice. That is what they are there for. Also ask a pharmacist for suggestions on sugar free liquid meds.

Hope he feels better soon!
