M-C Week- Wow

We took a ride to the Weirs last night, we try to go down once during the week and it was a nice night to walk around and look at the bikes and people watch.  Every year we wish we had a bike and one of these years we're going to do it.

We were walking around looking at the clothing vendors and I realized that I could  buy myself a T-shirt or tank and that I could actually wear it.   I was so excited ,I've always bought the for hubby and kids but never me.  I ended up with a hot pink tank and since I can I may go down again and buy another one.  The best part  of the night  happened as I was looking at those jeans that are open down the sides and are connected with small pieces of denim down the sides and diamond rivets.  The guy comes over and asks me if I want to try on a pair. It took me a minute to answer him, I think my jaw had dropped to the floor.  My husband started laughing and said I am now an officially a biker babe. ha-ha.

I know  he told me that he wouldn't be there for my next visit. I was very happy with him.

I think I was the first one in a room and the last one out.   You looked like you are doing well for less than a week out.

That is SO wonderful! I also can't get shirts at Bike Week, hunny gets me one every year but makes sure its one he likes as well becuase he knows he will end up with it. I can't imagine the day when I can shop somewhere besides Lane Bryant. A "regular" store as I call them. I can't fit in the largest size at JCP or Dress Barn - I need that 26/28. My best friend had RNY almost exactly 2 years ago and we were at TJ Maxx last weekend and she bought a size XL dress, the Large fit her but she got the XL in case it shrank. I was just like WOW I wish that was me. She started out at my size. So congrats on your hot biker momma shirt - next year I hope to be picking out one as well

At my highest I was a 26/28...lost a bunch on ww, but gained some back to a 22. 5 months post op, I am a 12 and still cannot believe it (and a M or L t-shirt depending on the cut!). When I am folding laundry I still cannot believe these things actually fit me. But when I was bigger I held up my jeans and was shocked at how big they were too. It works both ways I guess.

Congrats to the "biker babe", and numyummy, you wil lbe there soon!!!!!!!!!!!

It is amazing how we picture ourselves, and others see us as we truly are.  Thank goodness!  I bet you look hot in your tank.....did you buy the jeans?

Congrats, and I cannot wait until I am there also.

IF YOU ARE GOING THROUGH HELL.....KEEP GOING!!

Thanks- That's so true, I'm struggling with seeing myself as small, I still feel like I'm overweight and need keep losing, while everyone else is worried I'm getting too small.

No I didn't get them.  I think that would have been to scandelous for me at his point.  I had my brachio last month and I still feel like I'm half naked wearing sleevless shirts. :)  Maybe next year!

I can TOTALLY imagine how you felt because I too always buy one that my husband will end up wearing because it needs to be a men's xxl.    ENJOY your new tank top!!!
