Post-ops. Who still gets nervous when they weigh?

Good morning everyone.  Thursday's are my WI day.  I remember when I was on WW (or any of the countless other programs) and had to WI and would get all nervous beforehand.  I would even deprive myself from food until after I WI (and some of the times I was on WW, I WI at night.)  Anyway, to this day, I get "butterflies" on my WI day.  I convince myself I'll prob. gain.  After having GBS, the gains have been minimal and I have been surprised every time I step on the scale.  BUT, I still get nervous.  Just though I'd share...

Have a good day!

I definately know how you feel.  I used to do the same thing with weigh****chers!!  It is so hard not to let the scale dominate your life, but I think for us, it always will.  I am trying not to weigh myself so often, but it is hard.

I don't think I could weigh only once a week, it would be too stressful for me. I'm a 2x day weigher.
I did the same thing with the WW weigh ins.  I would eat very little all day before weighing in and then after the meeting it was an eating frenzy.  I had already weighed in and I didn't have to trac****il the next day so in my mind none of the food I ate counted.

I weigh myself every morning and still get the jitters.  I am begining to think it is part of our DNA!!

I'm right with you! I was in to Nancy's office yesterday and hesitated getting on the scale, thinking OH the dreaded weigh in...but since the first time I stepped on Nancy's scale in October, I've not had a gain. I lost 5 pounds from my last visit 5 weeks ago. I still complain that it's not enough for me, but they reassured me it is right on target. I'm glad it's a loss and not a gain anyway!
I weigh at home at least twice a day also...I confessed that to Nancy and Dr. P yesterday and they said it was a bit excessive...and I agreed...but I'm still doing it. haha  at least for now.

I get on that scale every morning. And everytime I do I make sure I pee before I do!!! You know all that extra fluid. I'm a nut. I agree it's in our DNA.
My daughter Erin (6 years out) no longer weighs herself. she goes by the way her cloths fit. She says it's much healthier for her to do it that way. Maybe someday I'll get there but not yet.
I'm terrified that my history will repeat itself....but determined not to let that happen.
