I'm afraid my surgery isn't going to happen on monday
Yesterday I started out at work at 7am, then to Dr. Looser's office for pre op exam, went great.
then over to hospital for pre op stuff, met with pre op nurse Pam, Cindy, anethesiologist, and had blood work done. Everything still going great. THEN I go over to Dr. Poulin's office to have more blood work done because my father's family has a history of bloodclots. I wait and wait and wait and wait....... finally I get to see him and he says...... Oh we'll never get these results back in time, you can't have surgery on monday.
That's when the tears started falling. I had spent all day in the dr's office and then to hear that, my heart just sank. He said he would try and put a rush on it, but he didn't seem too encouraging that the results would come back in time. He told me to call on friday.
Dr. Looser's office said they would wait until fri at noon to see if they came back before cancelling my surgery. EVERYONE please say a prayer that my result's come back in time!!!!!!!
I went back to work at 4pm, had to go to Boston for a work thing with customers so I couldn't sit around and feel bad for myself (which was a good thing)
It is rough to plan time off from work etc., then to hear the whole thing might fall through is so depressing.
I know it will still happen at some point, BUT I AM READY NOW!!!!! I have alrady waited so long because of insurance.
THANKS FOR LETTING ME VENT, I know it will all work out.......eventually.

I don't know the names of the tests, he checked of 5 or 6 boxes I think. They drew the blood at his office (the Oncology and hematology office in 155 Borthwick)
I said the same thing..... I don't what I'm talking about of course, but I thought they just spun it around in some machine then read the results!!! ha ha
I'm hoping for the best. In the meantime, I'm trying not to eat due to my anxiety over the whole thing! (I did have a couple drinks last night though!)
