Sam's Surgery

Well Sam had his surgery on Tuesday and went well, (his pre surgery weight loss was 106lbs) a bit longer than expected they had some things to deal with that took some time but it went well!  Dr. Gens was great and kept us informed through it all.  His testing this morning went great no leaks. YEAH !!! He did have an issue with his IV and ended up without pain meds for 3 hours so it was a tough afternoon. Got him comfy tonight and hopefully he will sleep tonight.  It has been a long couple of days but he is doing so great I am really excited for him. I know tomorrow will be better. I also bumped into a friend of mine that had her surgery on Monday as well so I have been room jumping.  Also Sam's nurse Sharon (sheneeds to be sainted) wanted to hire me for helping so much. LOL anyways thanks for letting me vent need sleep I have to work in the morning.

Glad to hear Sam's surgery went well. You both have been in my prayers.

There must be something in the air this week, on Saturday while I was getting my testing done in radiology my IV "broke". Once I finally got to my roon it took 2 hours before they could get a new one placed (I still have the bruises from the four failed attempts ).

I am glad he is doing better.  Keep us informed on his progress.  Yes, Dr. Gens is wonderful isn't he.
