Does anyone know what the percent of chid support is in NH?                 My brother is going through a divorce and we are curious, he has 4 children.

For four children it is 45%, but it is also based on income and other cir****tances.  Often the parties will come to an understanding on support and custody that is best for all parties.

If the soon to be ex wife works do they take her income into consideration too?    My brother owns outright his home and now is taking out a 500,000   mortgage to buy out my sister in law    yes that is correct amount , that is 1/2 of what their home and land is worth.

So he is going to have a mortgage now and pay 45% ????

WOWZA!!!!

Does he have an attorney?  He should get one if it is that complicated.  I have not done family law in a long time, I know that the non custodial parent has to pay a certain percentage in child support.  It sounds like he is buying her share of the property, but that amount sounds unreasonable.  He should really get in touch with an attorney, and find out what his rights and responsiblities are.  An attorney is the only one that can advise him in his specific cir****tance.  The court does take her income into consideration, as well as other expenses and cir****tances.  If he needs a referral for an attorney, I might be able to help him.

They had an appraisor come appraise and he got the mortgage for 1/2 of what  it is valued for. they have a ton of land and a huge house.     So he bought her out .      he has an attorney , I don`t know much more other then she is moving to Florida with the kids and I wish to GOD (excuse my language)             but I wish he would stop her from taking the kids out of state.       M brother is an alcoholic and she is fed up with that, I understand her wanting out, I just feel so bad for my brother cuz the kids are moving to florida.

Alcoholism is a disease , what happened to better and worse.  he needs treatment but she is just up and leaving.                  I know some reading this will say heiis getting what he deserves but no one knows the whole story on here , so please no judgment on him or her.

I really was just curious as to what the child support percentage is in NH.

Thanks for the answers....

Hi Jen,

I am sorry to hear that she is taking the kids to Florida, but he should still be able to see them, just not as much.  Make sure he asks for telephone contact.

Yes, alcoholism is a disease and should be treated as well.  It is much like what we go through but on a different level.  I have two family members who were/are alcoholics.  It is a struggle every day for the surviving one.  I know it affected my family in many different ways.  No judgment here!!

I truly hope everything works out well for him, and he gets the help he needs.

It can change as well if they have shared custody.  Definitely get an attorney, if it is in NH be care full she may try for spousal support as well. I hope all goes well.
