surgery went great - but sometimes can't remember what day it is

I had my surgery Friday morning with Dr. Looser. All went smoothly, even the traffic that early in the morning.

Only compaint could be the man in the room down one door from me - he could be noisy - and I felt like I only slept 10-15 mins at a time - but on the second night I had my window left open and the background noise was enough so that I slept for 2 hours once, and then 3 hours after that.

I came home on Sunday and have nothing but gratitude for my sister-in-law who was by my side throughout this weekend. She's been SUCH a huge help and that allowed my husband to stay with my daughter so she could go to kindergarten as usual and a birthday party Saturday morning. Of course they did visit mommy in the hospital Friday and Saturday too! But having Jennifer there for me was absolutely the best decision we could have made.

So anyhow, I'm home. Glad to have some time off from work. I'm trying to eat/drink and medicate as 'prescribed'.

Oh, and one other thing, my surgery weight loss requirement was 23 pounds, and I'd lost 28! Personally beat my own goal of 27 pounds!

I am glad everything went well.  And don't worry, you sense of time will come back.  It is hard when you break from your regular schedue.

You are very lucky to have such a wonderful sister-in-law.  That was very special for your daughter to continue with her life as normal as possible.  I bet she still missed mommy!!!

So welcome to the other side!!!  You will love it over here.  Don't hesitate to ask for help, and remember...sip sip sip....fluids are very important.
