DS in NH?

Hello, all -

I'm fairly new to the OH site and this is my first post on the NH board.  I am just wondering if you know of any surgeons or programs in NH that offer the biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch surgery?  Also wondering if there are any of you on the NH board who have had this?  Thanks for your help.

I don't know of anyone who has had that, and I don't know if the surgeons offer it in Portsmouth/Derry.  Grant Sanborn would be the one to answer that. He will probably answer you at some point in time.

I haven't heard that any of the NH WLS Hospitals are doing any duodenal switch surgeries, but I'm not sure.

There may be more I have not heard of, but that's a start.

Hi Lois,

There are no surgeons in the New England area that do the DS.  The closest surgeons for you would be in NYC.  There are several surgeons there that do the the DS.  The DS Board should be able to help you out with this. Next closest would be New Jersey.

I can't speak for all hospitals in NH, but the Portsmouth/Parkland program does not offer the DS surgery.  Good luck in your search.
