Support from Spouse

Ok so here we are less than 1 week from Hubby's surgery and he isn't sleeping well. I am sure it is nerves, but  I am not sure what else I can do for him.  I am trying to support him, and I understand my nerves are acting up a bit myself, but I know this is going to be the best decsion he has ever made. The close the surgery gets the worse it is getting. I work outside the home and the boys go to school, so he is home durring the day by himself, so I am not sure what he does durring the day.  I know at night after dinere we take a walk as a family (dog included) and chat about our days.  I guess I am just wondering how anyone else's spouse or what  you wanted your spouse to do before surgery?  I guess i a mtrying to draw the line between overwhelming him and not being there enough for him.
