Does any other RNY'er feel this?

Whenever I eat, I feel massive "movement" on my left side of my stomach.  I'm sure it's just the food going into my intestines, but it feels weird.  Like I can feel everything move on down.  When I drink something, my left side "talks" to me.  I hear rumblings, etc.

Also, sometimes when I'm lying on my left side, I have to switch sides because I feel like I'm blocking something or restricting something from going into or through my intestines.  Kind of like something will happen if I don't change my position.  Very strange.

For example, I just ate salad.  I can feel something internally going down my left side (always the same place.)  Does this happen to anyone else?  Will it ever go away?  I don't mind it, I just think it's rather weird.  Thanks.

I've had that "moving" feeling too, but not all the time.  As far as the rumblings, holy goodness, my husband gets the biggest kick out of all the noises my body makes now!  Anyway, if it's not painful, I don't think I'd worry about it.

BTW, we missed you at the meeting last night.  Linda wasn't there.  Susan, the RN, moderated the meeting.  It was a good one.  Several new people were there, but the total number of people attending was much less than last month.

Hi Kathy,

Any time someone hears my stomach rumble, they think I'm hungry.  Most cases it's just digestion.

I can't believe that the baseball game was on.  It was cold and gloomy.  I had to take Andrew with me and he was a pain the entire time.  I worked in the concession stand and had already warned him I had no money and he will not be able to buy anything.  OMG!  If no one else was in there with me, I would have knocked him out!  He wouldn't relent.  UGH!

I really wanted to be at the meeting.  I hate missing them.  Hopefully I can go in June.  Any good stories?

LOL - I can just see you in the canteen wanting to kill your kid, but you can't because other people are there -- I remember how that was.  Been there too and I don't miss that at all!

There were all kinds of topics discussed last  night.  But the best is that the nurse who had her surgery at Tufts over 2 years ago - remember her (I'm so mad that I can't remember her first name)?  She hadn't been following up with bloodwork and I kind of laced into her over it?  Well, she went down there and had her labs done.  And her numbers are great!  I was so happy to hear that.   We went around the table and introduced ourselves and each person brought up a topic so it took the whole hour to go completely around the table, but it was all good.  I really did enjoy the meeting yesterday.  It was certainly more exciting than the one I attended Monday night at Dartmouth Hitch****  :) !

I'm telling you, that kid is going to be the death of me.  He's so strong willed....

I remember who you are talking about.  I think her name is Barbara or Nancy (I think.)  So glad to hear you're stern talking got her in to get her labs checked!  It must feel good when that happens (kind of like the way you scared me into taking my calcium...lol.)

I'm still giggling about you showing up on Mon!

Boy I definately know what you are talking about with Andrew.  It is so funny, but I am kind of reliving my Andrew's youth through yours.  Mom....it does get better. :-)  just live for those words.

And even with the band, boy does my stomach rumble, and sometimes, you can even hear something drop from the pouch to the larger stomach!!  Ewwwww

Hi Martha,

I'm glad you're getting a kick out of my life.  At least I know "IT WILL GET BETTER!"  If it doesn't, I'm coming after you.

I have heard that about something dropping into your stomach.  Sounds gross.  My stomach is rumbling and I haven't even eaten anything yet.  Just coffee and a protein drink so far.

I am, but oh boy, I know what you are going through.  We called my Andrew, Hurricane Andrew, because many times he did as much damage as the hurricane did!!!
