I had Dr Campbell at CMC do the RNY surgery. I was right at 40 BMI so no weight loss prior was needed. The experience was terrific and the above posters are correct: they hold your hand and guide you through every step of the way. I also liked the fact that Dr Campbell has done so many of these surgeries. She's had a 0% mortality rate and a 100% laproscopic rate. Both of which helped me choose. I've lost 36 pounds in 4 weeks since the surgery and have had no complications. Good luck with your choice.
