Awaken the power within you.

I met with my trainer last night, and she had me pick an inspirational card when I left.  Well, it has really intrigued me.  The quote was "awaken the power within you".  So this is what I though.

Awaken the power within you:

I have the power to make good choices,
I have the power to finish what I started,
I have the power to say no,
I have the power to say yes,
I have the power to make the best choices for me,
I have the power to say I love you
    I love you Gary,
I have the power to say I miss you
    I miss you mommy and daddy,
I have the power to be strong,
I have the power to forgive,
I have the power to not be angry,
I have the power to be happy,
I have the power to bask in the glow of Cameron's love.

I will not try,
I simply will
I will do my best
I will love
I will forgive
I will be strong
I will make good choices
I will forgive
I will be happy
I will laugh
I will cry if necessary
I will finish what I have started
I will glow.

One more:  Why would anybody be unhappy or sad .....when you have the power to choose to be happy.

With me it is very hard....I have fought with depression for years, and is hard for me.  I am trying though to take a much better attitude, and a different way of thinking to try and help myself. 

Wow, Martha, what an inspiring post!  So I'm going to take it to heart right now.  I've been hemming and hawing about taking a walk - I'm coming up with so many excuses lately, very, very bad!  Well, I have the power to get out and do it.  So off I go with my beagle, Scooter!  Have a great day and thanks for getting me up off my butt!
