I'm sad that salmon doesn't agree with me!

Ugh.  We went to Outback last night and I was craving salmon. I tried it before and it didn't agree with me, but that was months ago.  I never cook fish at home so I like to get it when I go out to eat.  Anyway, I ate 1/2 of it and started feeling icky.  Buy the time we left, I was getting foamy and felt horrible.  I guess I'll have to put that on my list of things I can't eat anymore.  I'm bummed because it was something I really liked before surg.

Hi Lisa,

Maybe it was not the salmon...but what the put on the salmon.  I would try just plain grilled salmon and see what happens, well, maybe not, I know what the foamies are like :-)

I'm pretty sure it was the salmon.  It appeared to be grilled with a little oil & seasoning.  The way it was coming up after was not a good feeling.  Oh well.  Life goes on.  There are plenty of other foods to eat.

Have you been able to eat other fish? I'm hoping I can eat fi****'s my favorite. Planning to try my first bite tomorrow...baked Haddock.  :  )
I'm so shocked at how full I am after just a 1/2 cup of chili! But I'm thrilled about it!!

Hi Diane,

I haven't tried other fish so I'm not sure.  I know I loved it before surg!  However, at least salmon is not liking me now.  Good luck to you.  Let me know how it goes with the haddock.

I have not had any problem with fish, thank goodness.  I love all kinds.  I have had salmon, haddock, swordfish, tuna, tiapia, and flounder.  I guess I am very lucky.

Lucky!  I guess the next time I try fish will be at home as opposed to a restaurant.  That will be a long time because I'm the only one who likes seafood in the family.  Although my husband likes scallops.  I have had scallops with no problems.

Greetings Lisa,
Too bad about the salmon.  Fish (real fish with fins) was a friend to me in my first 3-4 months.  Funny, too, because I was no fan pre-op.  I have always loved shellfish and I really relied on scallops and shrimp and lobster right after surgery.  Unbelievably, I am sick of them for the time being.  I never would have believed it if anyone had said I'd ever be sick of scallops or lobster.  Too funny.  T
