light headed & woozy
Hi Diane,
It definately sounds like you are dehydrated. Try and get at least 64 ounces of water a day. Dehydration will land you in the hospital. I know, it is hard if you are not hungry, but if you sip constantly throughout the day (except before, during, and after eating) you should be okay. You can also try the sugar free sports drinks. They may hydrate you faster.

Hi Diane,
I am also feeling dizzy but usually only after being on my feet for longer than 30 minutes. I am getting all my protein and definately having enough fluids. I think it is just going to take some time for our bodies to adjust to the lower calorie intake. Hope you are doing well.
Kalya
P.S. Do you have trouble taking deep breathes? Sometimes when I yawn I get a tightness in my upper chest.

I am on meds for HBP, I was also taking HCTZ for that as well, and have stopped that one.
I saw my PCP on Tues and she said to keep taking the other one for now although my bp was lower than it's been in nearly 10 years... 124/80; it dropped right down after the surgery. I might need to invest in a machine to take it at home. I'm off my diabetes meds right from the day I left the hospital, and my blood sugar has actually been a little low (80's)! It's nice to see such quick results! I think one of the problems I have right now is that my PCP does not understand anything about WLS. She was never for it, infact asked me why I couldn't eat anything with sugar and why I was on liquid for 2 weeks? But that's another story...I think it's time I changed docs.
Kayla, I'm very glad to hear you are doing well also! How did everything go?
