stupid comments

I just hate it when someone says,"don't lose too much,you don't want to look sickly". I have come up with a reply. I say,Oh yes I do. by the way I estimate I am at least 45 lbs overweight at this time. What comments do you get and what have you said?

I get told that all of the time too.  "You don't have much more weight to lose, do you?"  I just say "I have not made my goal yet".   If they pu**** I simply tell them that I have always carried weight really well.  they tend to stop at that point.  I think they do not know what to say!!!

What most people don't realize is that we are not in this just to lose weight, it is to help create a healthier lifestyle. People think this was  a drastic move for me to make. But I let them know that I had a lot of information before and after the surgery and it was the right decision for me.

People are amazed that I have lost 90 lbs. When they comment that they didn't realize I was that heavy, my answer is the same as Martha's; I hid it well.

I actually am losing too much weight and am working to put some back on. But my doc and Jacqui are not worried about it so why should I be? People just aren't used to seeing me skinny, even I have a problem when I look in the mirror sometimes.

I haven't gotten there yet...but I cannot tell you how many people close to me, prior to surgery last week said..."You've done so great on your own, do you really think you need to go through with the surgery?" And the answer was simply "yes I do."
NOt only do I still have nearly 100 pounds to lose, but I want a tool I can use to keep it off.
But so true how people say things that sound idiotic.

Prior to  surgery I got that one alot to. people were not used to seeing me take care of myself and already thought I was cured. I knew I'd never keep any weight off by myself.
