QOTD Has something happened to you that you never gave a thought before, but made you...
I thought this would be an interesting question for those of you who have reached goal, those who are just starting out on this journey, or those who are right in the middle.
I have actually had three wow moments that I never gave any thought to prior to them happening. The first was something very small that anyone could have let slip by, but when a clothing store employee greeted me as I walked in the door, and asked if she could help me, I actually took a step back. This had never happened to me before.
The second was going through a turnstyle without turning sideways. HUM....never gave that a thought.
The third was picking up my grandson, and having him wrap his arms completely around my neck and give me an incredibly big hug. Yes, he is getting bigger, but I am also getting smaller, and I must admit, I hugged him right back.
What about all of you?

I thought of 2:
The first is somewhat like your 3rd Martha. My kids and my husband can now hug me with their arms all the way around any part of my body. I think I avoided hugging before surgery because I was self conscious.
The second is that recently I can feel my bones. My collar bones are more defined, my bicepts, my legs, inner thighs and even my abs are somewhat defined. It's a nice feeling to feel how strong I have become through lots of hard exercise.
Ah, a 3rd. I looked in the mirror and my cheekbones are defined! I didn't recognize myself.

I've been on this journey for a year and a half. There have been so many wow moments that I wouldn't even know where to begin in listing them. I think my very first was being able to cross my legs. My most recent one is actually kind of weird. In looking at our pictures from Jamaica, I realized how much shorter I am than my husband. I guess that in the past all I ever noticed was how wide I was. Now that I'm not wide anymore, I can see other things about myself. Weird, I know.
