Had a blast....but oh boy, bad choices
Well it is Monday morning after our "girls" weekend at Gunstock. Got a ton of exercise, but also did not chose very well. Got on the scale, and oh my, gained 4 pounds. How is that possible!!!!!!!! Well, back on track this morning. Greek yogurt and granola for breakfast. Lots and lots of water. I just cannot believe how much weight you can gain back with two days of "fun".
Martha,
Seems like a lot for only a weekend of fun. What types of foods did you do bad on? Did you drink alcohol? I'm sure you'll have no problem getting it off. It's so easy to give in to temptation isn't it? Fortunately with GBS, I just can't eat a lot so that helps with portions. Hang in there! Glad you had fun. I looked at the pics on FB!

Hi Lisa,
I think some of it is fluid also, because I ate somethings I have not had in a very long time (chips and dip...mmm yum!!), moose munch (OMG good) and more alcohol than I have had in a very very long time. I was more than just bad.....but I also knew what I was doing, and had decided that I was not going to worry about it this weekend. I have gotten right back on everything today, and feel good. Not guilty at all. I also knew I would get back to they gym this week, and I am meeting with my trainer tomorrow. And drinking lots and lots of water!!!
Yep. Salty foods and alcohol will surely make you retain fluid. It must have been so nice to enjoy yourself and be laid back knowing you can get right back on track today. The guilt use to make me eat the house!
Awesome job getting back to the gym and with your trainer. Whoo Hoo!
Lisa
PS-Thanks for the kudos on the exercise!

I did the same thing, but I did it for a WHOLE week and I gained EIGHT pounds! Ouch!!!! I also had made the conscious decision that I would not worry about what I ate or drank. I think my problem was too much alcohol and not enough water and exercise. But we had a great time, and I don't regret any of it. I, too, am back on track as of yesterday. I've already taken off 2 of the 8 pounds so I'm not worried about it. It will come off as long as I follow the rules from here on out, which is what I plan to do.

Hi Kathy,
I am so glad you had a great time. Your pictures on FB look awesome. I was the same, I did not want to worry about what I was eating, and when, and just had fun. It is funny though, I still stuck to eating small bites, and chewing really well, so in the long run, I really did not overeat.....just maybe did not eat some of the right things

Okay, Martha, I'm such a facebook dummy. I didn't post any pics on FB from the trip, but my daughter did (and she's a "friend"). So does that mean that her pics show on my page cuz she's a friend? If so, that's cool. I didn't realize that would happen.
