After being very patient, I finally got to 100lbs gone today!  100.6 to be exact!  That's a huge milestone for me.  My head is still thinking, "when is the weight gonna creep back on?"  I haven't been this weight in so long and I feel healthy and strong!  Just thought I'd share!  Have a great day.

Good going!  Celebrate with a big glass of water or a protein shake! Once the first goal is met, the rest are easily attainable.

Yeah!!!! 100 lbs gone. Congratulations Lisa. Doesn't it feel incredible? It's such an accomplishment to go through this entire process right from the beginning. Every milestone should be celebrated. Cheers to you!

Lisa,

That is fantastic!  Outstanding work!  You must feel like a new woman!  Lifting 100lbs off your back.  You must feel like you can fly!

- I went to my first informational session today at DHMC.  I am so excited and raring to go!!   Going into today I  was thinking  more on the lines of the lap band but afer hearing the negatives to it I'm seriously considering bypass instead.  I know I will be meeting with the Surgeon at some point and seriously hashing it out but....  What helped you to make your decision?

Cathy,

I will be at the March 13th meeting at DHMC as a speaking graduate.  Have you registered for it?  It would be nice to meet you.

It really is such a personal decision, but for ME, I knew only Gastric Bypass would get me to a healthy weight that I could maintain.  It's the fact that it is so final and drastic I guess.  I did SO much research and I know in my heart this surgery saved my life.  Let me know if you have any other questions.
