Guess What I Did???

Well while Nicole was in labor - Bill and I were waiting at the house with Nate. Charlie was checking in and Erin and I were going to head over to the hospital when it was getting close. Nicole let us share in the birth of Nate and wanted us to be there for Amelia's arrival too.
Ok here's what happened....
I think I remember opening a box of kashi crackers. Next I know I was feeling full - sick full.
Then the box was empty!!!! I ate the whole da** box!!! It was very easy to do. I didn't even bat an eye just kept shoveling them in - no thinking just shoveling. And this was after midnight.
I can't believe they went down so easliy. I didn't even taste them really. OOOOOO those bad bad habits. They can rear their ugly heads.
Lesson well taken.

And Erin and I missed her birth!!! Yeah good for Nicole - 5 minutes of pushing and out she came. We were 10 minutes too late.  Amelia Rose weighed in at 7lbs. 10 oz. She is just perfect. Healthy and beautiful. She has an awesome big brother too

Don't be too hard on yourself, but oh those ugly habits do crop up don't they.  At least it was something with protein, and not something bad for you!!!

You look absolutely beautiful holding that little one.  I am so happy for you.....and maybe a bit jealous.  (I want a granddaughter!!!)  I absolutely love Cameron though, and will take another like him any day.  Nate is taking his role seriously!!!  that is good.  Loved the shirt he had on.

Rosemary,

I loved looking at all the pics of Amelia on facebook!  Everyone looks so happy.  Congrats again.

Funny how the bad habits creep up on you, especially in a stressful situation.  I'm sure it doesn't happen often so you'll be fine.

Just wanted to say congrats grammy and welcome to Amelia!  She's so lucky to have a big brother!
You tale of the cracker box is a good cautionary story for us all.  Those bad old habits are stil lurking around the corner and we have to stay mindful or they can come roaring back when we least expect it!  Thanks for the reminder.
All the best to you and yours!

Congratulations on a new life lesson.  Sometimes they just plain suck don't they?  But, the way I look at it, if I didn't have a lesson to learn every now and then, what a boring life I would have!!  And life has been so much more interesting since my surgery!

Gram,  I am so happy she is finally here. ( Bet your daughter is happier ! )She must be beautiful. Soon you'll be posting your OH picture to include both Grandchildren.  Each one is so special. I have 4 and love them all.
As far as the crackers......It is hard not to eat those carbs. I have decided to stop bringing them into my house.  Yikes....like you say they go down so easy.
Take Care and enjoy the new granddaughter.. Pink for a change !!
