Waiting for insurance approval

Hi all!!  I've only had one post until now but I've been stuck and struggling with meeting my pre-op goal.  Well I've finally done it!!  I had my first meeting with Dr. Looser on Feb. 13th.  I liked him a lot and have finally made a decision to do the gastric bypass.  I think it's a better fit for me.  This has been a long journey.  I started the process in May of 08' and have been trying since September to lose a measly 11 pounds.  I finally made the committment and have lost the weight.  As soon as my insurance comes through I'll have a date.  I can't believe it.  I've gone to numerous support group meetings and have loved hearing everyone's stories.  It's very encouraging and motivating.  To see someone who's lost the weight and know that could be me too is the greatest gift.  I'll post again when I get my date.  I also tried to upload a profile picture but it says the size is too big and I can't figure out how to change that. 

Congratulations on meeting your goal.  You will never regret your decision.  Good luck with everything, and keep coming to those meetings. They really do help. 

Congratulations on losing the weight! You'll love Dr. Looser, he is great. He really goes out of his way to be there for his patients. Please feel free to say hello if you see us at the meetings, we all love to gab....

Thanks everyone for the positive words.  That's why I love this site so much.  I'm anxiously awaiting the phone call with the DATE!!  Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me.
