2 year band anniversary right around the corner. Pics!

I know I don't stop in much anymore!  I wanted to stop in and say that I am about to hit my anniversary at the end of March and I am honestly starting to forget what a struggle I had with my weight!  Every day that goes by it just gets easier and easier and I want to encourage all new bandsters or anyone struggling that it DOES happen with time and patience.  I hit so many stalls but am now below original goal and actually want to lose 10 more lbs before I am totally done.

I am ALSO going to be walking in the Avon 2 Day for Breast Cancer in May.   IF I get all the fund raising done I will be walking 39 miles in 2 days (26 the first..13 the second).  Talk about a challenge!!!

Here are my before and after.  I actually did these pics a few days ago to show my friends out of state my new "Hair Do" and was struck by the difference.  I am still the same me..the head has not caught up with the image quite yet..but I am getting better.  Everyday is not an anguish over clothes or activities!  Now it is just LIFE..LOL!

Wen,

Thanks so much for posting your experience. You're an inspiration and good reassurance for me right now. I'm going in for the band next week and in the back of my mind lies this fear that
it'll work for others but not for me and that I'll be stuck with this weight forever.
You're message is very encouraging! Thanks!! and Happy Anniversary!

Excellent!   I wish you the best of luck.  Just remember patience..patience.  That is the biggest thing with band people..even me..I had times I thought I had lost all I could but sticking to (or getting back to) the program got me here.

wow what a transformation.  You have given me renewed hope.  I have been struggling lately, old habits coming through again.  I have also been in a two month stall.  I know I made the right choice for me with the band.  It is a new experience learning to use it to the best of its ability.  It is so encouraging to see people who have been so successful.  Thank you for sharing your story, and your pictures.

It really is a learning experience.  I will be totally honest and say I am NOT perfect all the time!   I still have head issues..though they seem to get better and better with time.  I still have treats but I find that I am thinking more like a thin person.  Meaning calories in..calories out and compensating for something that I really want as a treat..and of course portion control.  Hang in there!  There were many times I thought I was done because of plateaus but you do break through them.  Also falling off course can happen as well..it can be just a little side road..not the whole trip!

Congratulations Wen!  You are beautiful.  So glad to hear you have had such success in 2 years.  I had RNY (with Dr. Gould) in Aug.
Best of luck with the Avon walk.

Thank you Lisa!!  I hope to post pics in May as well.  It is something I have never done (I have done shorter walks but nothing like this!).
