Just got home!
Hello all!
I have been dormant on this site for a bit but I just got home from Portsmouth Regional Hospital this morning and I do anticipate being on here for some insight from time to time.
I had my surgery on Friday. Friday night did not go too well for me because I do not do anysthesia (sp) very well. I stopped ALL pain meds because the narcotics made me ill ill ill. Now, the only issue I have is the abdominal pain caused by the work they did. But, it is getting better and better every day. Now, my only real issue is that I do not feel like drinking or eating anything on stage 3. Popsicles are OK but I get so full so fast on CIB. Or even water. Oh what to do. I really do not want to get dehydrated. But anyway, we'll deal.
Good luck to all the people getting it done. The staff at PRH are awesome!!!
Best of luck!

Wow Denny, I thought you were not scheduled until March. Good for you!!! You may be drinking too fast. Little sips for now. It may take you an hour to drink a whole shake. I know even with the lap band I felt like I was constantly drinking something, water, CIB, Crystal light. Just keep drinking as much as you can.
I went to the informational meeting in the spring of 2008. I steadily went through all of the steps and just had my surgery last Friday. I did not go trhough it like lightning but I did steadliy go through. I learned a lot. You need to listen and learn to what they have to say because you need it post op, trust me.
