Flying after Surgery?
Hello all,
I have just gotten my surgical date which is actually earlier than I thought because Dr. Pacuilli is going on vacation. I have a 2 week break from work for spring break and I was originally planning on just staying around here because I was not sure how I would feel after the surgery. But now with the latest snow I am itching to get out of the cold weather for a while. I am scheduled for lap band surgery 3/6 and I was wondering if any of you know if there is a timeline of when you can get on a plane after surgery. I was thinking a week should be long enough but wanted to know if any one knew specifics. I am definately going to check with Dr. Pacuilli but I don't see her again for a week.
Any help would be great.

Hi Kayla,
I'm having my band on 3/4 and I did ask about flying...after 4 weeks and they said I'd be fine to fly in 4 weeks. I didn't ask about sooner than that. I'm glad to hear all was well with Bamma flying because I was a little nervous about the idea of flying after having the band. But I'm a nervous flyer anyway!
I would ask Dr. Pacuilli or her staff, they are very helpful also.
