I am having trouble getting below 200 lbs.  I get on the scale and at one point I was at 203.  I completely freaked and gained weight.  I just now took it off, and got down to 205, and same thing happened.

Has this happened to anyone else?  I know I should talk to Dr. Wagner about it, I have and he told me to trick myself with the scale.  I was wondering if anyone else had this problem?  I had lapband done in June and I am only down 30 lbs since I first started this Journey last January.

Any suggestions will be greatly appriciated!

Crystal

Hi Crystal,

I have been having the same problem.  I keep playing with 3 and 4 pounds.  I always seem to get to this weight, and then I can't lose any more. We were also discussing this in group the other day.  Many others are going through the same thing.  I actually broke through on vacation, but it has been hard to get back on since.  Just keep plugging away, and exercise.  I lost the weight on vacation, because we walked, walked, and walked.

Hi Crystal,

I am still pre-surgery, but have found that the food plan Jackie gave me is excellent, as long as I stick to it and keep exercising.

I've lost 41 pounds so far and will have the band in a couple weeks. But I still have a loooonnnggg way to go.

I would see if you could talk to both Jackie and then Dr. Wagner. She can help you map out the food and he can help you find the methods to staying on track.

Best of luck!!

Diane

Cross post this on the main forum or the RNY forum.  They will give you some tough love, which might be just what you need at this point.  It sounds like your freak out is saying "I can't" or "I'm scared" and sometimes the best way to get over it is to just let something get real with your and shake you out of it.  Most people here are more the warm and fuzzy type, but if you've only lost 30lbs and your already sabotaging yourself, I think it's time to really drill down about it.  You have a window of opportunity in which it is very easy to loose.  That window will no be open indefinately.  Eventually it will require alot more work to loose than it does now.  You need to take advantage of the time you have.  You can't waste a day fooling around with yo yoing.  You know the plan, you know the program.  You can't gain weight eating on Jackie's plan.  So obviously, you've been eating as you shouldn't.  Your burnng daylight, girl.  Just saying, follow the plan - to the letter - now when it's at it's easiest.  Otherwise you'll be one of a the many saying you want a revision, your surgery failed, blah, blah.  And just to warn you, our doctors DON'T do revisions.

I know I sound harsh, but I only care if you fail because I CARE.

Thanks.  I know you were tough, but you care.  That is what I need right now.  Today I got back on track.  I will stay on track and I will post this on the main forum tomorrow.

Thanks again

Crystal
