So i went  out for dinner with my mom to the 99....the menu is HUGE and there are some things i could eat, but the portions were rediculous, alot of stuff had cheese, cream sauces.  I ended up asking the waitress for the kids menu.  They had a nice steak, and a baked fish.  I went with the steak...it was 5 ounces...lean, moist  and very tasty.  I had broccoli and squash.  The sqash was great, but sweet, so i stuck to just a bite or two.  I left some of the steak....but for 5.99....what a deal!  The waitress looked at me odd at first but i just told her i had had GBP and she was cool with it.  She then asked me a bunch of questions and said...wow, i can't believe you needed surgery to lose weight...you look fine!  She asked me how much more i wanted to lose and i said about 50 or 60 pounds.  After i said that i was like....holy cow...thats all i have left!  Thats nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I never thought i would feel that way only 5 months out!  I know it will be harder than the first 100...but hey...its gonna happen!  I felt so great after leaving there...and i was a cheap date, my Mom insisted on paying!

Congratulations for making such a wonderful choice.  I sometimes have been given a hard time when I ask for a child or senior portion.  Good job speaking about the surgery.  It is amazing the reactions we get....black and white.  Hopefully your story will help others, especially those who are looking forward to surgery, and those who just had surgery.  Thanks for sharing.

Kris,

Congrats on doing that at dinner and your weight loss to date!  It's so exciting to realize you only have a little to go and it is attainable because of this wonderful tool!

I just want to let you know how happy I am for you and that you sound so happy about your progress - and so you should be!  Keep up the good work.  You'll see that one day you'll wake up and realize that you're "there,"  and the weight will be gone.  It's such a great feeling.
