xpost---SURGEON RANT

OK, so my surgeon is a wonderful surgeon and such,,,,,,,,,,,,however I went for labs and he called and said my D and B were fine, I assumed he meant everything was fine but mentioned those 2 specifically because I had concerns over them.


I then asked for a copy to be mailed to my PCP and to myself-------------received in the mail today!!!

Oh yea my D and B1 are OK, THAT IS ALL I GOT FOR A REPORT!!!              I immediately called my surgeons office and his assistant says to me that is all we have.                WTH PEOPLE!!

I HAD MUCH MORE LAB TESTS ORDERED THEN THOSE 2 !!!                 So my rant is shouldn`t my surgeon have realized that something was amiss?         Or are surgeons soooooooo busy that we compromise our well being by trusting in their aftercare?

I will call again tomorrow as this was late afternoon mail, if all else fails I will call the lab and make sure they sent him ALL copies!!!          

If the surgeons want to be responsible for our aftercare then I think a better job then sending me 2 reports is called for!!!

I am going to have my PCP of 20 years take over my labs.

Also do we have to see our surgeon after the RNY?        If all is going well, and if our PCP orders labs , I think I might see my surgeon 1 time a year if that???


EDITED TO ADD:            Vit D    is         50.3  and my pre op paperwork to compare is at my  place , so I will comapre tomorrow.

Vit B1  is 9.0                   I am stuck at a friends , we got slammed with over a foot of snow !!!

What a joke to say "here are my lab results!!!!"
