PRH Meeting last night

Rosemary, I loved listening to you last night.  I relearned a lot of stuff that I kind of set aside.  Thank you!

I just wanted to say that I couldnt believe how many people were at the meeting...it was great! I am use to going to Derry for things and my classes and I had heard that Derry is a smaller group but, I was shocked. I wanted to tell Rosemary what a great job she did and that it was good to have my husband come and listen to her as well. Thank you!!! I forget the other woman speakers name but, it was good to hear about lap band as well but, since I am having the RNY it was good getting to hear from Rosemary.

I am new to all this I had the Lap -band  surgery 12-23-08 I thought there was only a one meeting a month the 2nd monday could someone let me know if there are more and where and when thanks 

Hi, there are two meetings for Portsmouth.  The general support group meeting that anyone can attend is the 4th Monday of the month at 6:30.  The other meeting is the post op meeting which is the 2nd Monday of the month, beginning at 5:30, and then it is broken into two groups at 6:30.  One for lap banders and one for getting back on track, which can be attended by anyone. 

Both of the meetings are in the same place, 155 Borthwick Ave.

there are also meetings in Derry, but I am not sure when.  You can go to Portsmouth's website, and it should have the dates and times....or it is possible that a Derry participant will chime in :-)

Thanks Rosemary for mentioning the NH Forum on Obesity.com. I joined the site a month or so ago and haven't been able to connect...now I know about the NH forum, I'm hopeful for some more connection here.
I'm pre-op for lap band have lost 37 pounds and can't wait to be post op.
Dr. Pacuilli is doing my surgery; should be schedule in Feb. just waiting for ins approval
and mammogram results (next week).
You have a great story and your daughters too!! Wow!

Great to hear about the attendance at the PRH meeting this week! In answer to the question  about the Parkland support group meetings...here is the schedule there:

Parkland General Support Group: 1st Monday of every month at 6 pm in the in-service classroom at Parkland Medical Center.

Parkland Post-Op Support Group: 3rd Monday of every month at 6 pm in the in-service classroom at PMC.

And you're right, all the info is on both the Portsmouth web site (www.portsmouthhosiptal.com) and the Parkland web site (www.parklandmedicalcenter.com).

I am almost 2 months postop RNY and had my surgery in Boston.  It is really hard for me to make the meetings there.  Does anyone know if it is possible tor anyone to attend the meetings in Portsmouth? Thanks!
