DH & I have a wedding to go to tonight in Litchfield and the reception is in Nashua.  It's snowing!  I really despise snow when I have to be out on the roads (especially on New Years Eve!)  I prefer to stay home on NYE (and I'm usually in bed by 10:00pm.)  I'm really not looking forward to this wedding.  Maybe since I'm bummed about going I'll end up having a good time?  I can only hope.

Ya that totally stinks.  I just don't get the getting married on New Year's Eve thing.  I guess you husband will not forget your anniversary!!!

It is supposed to stop snowing by early evening, so go and have a great time.  Besides, how many people are you going to run into that have not seen you since your surgery??  I bet you will be the talk of the night, well besides the bride and groom!

I hope you're there right now, dancing your tushie off and basking in all the compliments.  I bet you have a great time!

Morning everyone.  Well the ceremony was beautiful.  Then we drove 40 minutes to Sky Meadow in Nashua.  The evening started off well for me.  I was hungry and had a scallop wrapped in bacon and a chicken on a stick at ****tail hour (and a glass of wine.)  I was feeling happy.  Soup was corn chowder.  I ate about half of a little cup, a few bites of salad, a few small bites of mashed potatoes and beef tenderloin.  A few minutes after eating that, I felt sick, foamy and just plain ugh!  I tried to hold in my sickness and that made it worse.  I ended up in the bathroom (alone, thank God) 3 times throughout the night vomiting.  I was sad that this happened.  I've eaten these foods before without any problems.  Needless to say, DH & I danced 1 slow song and 1 upbeat song and that's it.  We left shortly after midnight, got home about 1:15 and I was in bed with a headache.  Obviously this is not how I wanted the night to go, but it's over & done with and I will move on.

I hope you all had a nice NYE!  happy New Years to everyone!

So, I had an "ah ha" moment while trying to nap earlier.  I figured out what upset my stomach......the champagne!  I (duh) didn't even think about the bubbles and I usually don't like champagne, however, last night it was delicious and I not only drank my glass, but also my DH's glass of champagne.  And it was soon after that the stomach problems arose.  And it lasted until the end of the night.  At least I know it wasn't the food.  So, now I know...NO champagne (or anything with bubbles) for me!
