I suppose I need to take the good with the bad.  Today I weigh in at 217, my halfway to goal of 150.  So thats 67 lbs lost and 67 to go (total, technically it's 50 lbs lost since surgery).  The bad is I just got a call from Atlantic surgical and I have ANOTHER staph infection.  Thats 2 in the past 2-3 weeks.  And at my wound care appt this week my wound somehow got DEEPER.  Yeah, they have no idea either.

So, I am happy I am halfway to goal, but pretty depressed about going on antibiotics again and the nurse at the wound care center it could easily be another month or more before my wound is healed.  I still have to clean it and pack it 2x a day.  It's a PITA.

3 months out as of today though, so on track to hit goal by 6-7 months maybe!  Can't wait until I hit onederland, thats my next goal - maybe by Valentine's Day....

Merry Christmas all, be safe!

Boy Jenn,  you can't seem to get a break.  I don't know who has had it rougher....you or Treading.  I think it is a tie.

Well, at least you have good news being halfway to goal.  That is amazing.  You have done so well despite everything you are going through.  Keep up the good work.  One day, this will all be behind you :-)

Meanwhile, have a great Christmas, take care, and rest.

Geez Jenn, I really thought you'd have this infection thing licked by now.  But I do know how tiring it is to be dragging around the same problem for weeks, months  You are right to put some focus on the 'up' side and what an upside!  Half way to goal in 3 months???????????????  Rather incredible, no?

I've never set a goal with Gens as yet.  We've been too busy setting up blood work and referrals to specialist.  LOL.  I don't know about you but I haven't really had to think too much about the weight loss - right now it just happens.  I'm glad I've made it a rigorous rule to track all of my foods and liquids.  Someday it will matter and the weight loss won't just happen and I'll be glad I've developed the habits.  I think.

I'm going to TJ's on Sunday.  Hard to describe how grocery shopping can be such a thrill.  I also get all of my toiletries and cleaning supplies there.  I will only use products with a 'cruelty free' label or at least a "not tested on animals" label.  Not too easy to find at under $10 a bottle.  But at TJ's I get vats of great stuff for $2.49 to $3.29.  Love that store.

But how in the world can your wound be getting deeper?????  Yuck.  T

I'm so sorry to hear all your troubles...staph infections are tough to beat...but it will happen.  The weight loss is great though!  I guess good and bad is better than all bad!  Keep your chin up...onederland is around the corner :)
