That is awesome umber.  Market Basket in Lee has a good supply of food.  They seem to be pretty stocked.  You might try there.  They had a huge amount of bottled water.

hello! we lost power right around 10 pm thursday night.......
brrrrrr.. lost alot of tree branches and some small damage to our roof from the branches9 the soffet area from big pine branches smashing and bouncing up and hitting the soffet area around the garage) nice huh? and a dent in a car parked in the driveway from falling branches too! we have alot of trees!....... our power is now back on , it was 45 degrees in the house when it came back on. we toughed it out and stayed home, but went oput to wally world, the mall, dicks and anywhere else to pass the time where there was heat..... i feel fortunate to now have my heat because as i type this out i can hear someones generator in the neighborhood going, and i know alot of people in my town are still without power....
of course i also had just gone grocery shopping and had to chuck it all away... went to the store today and they really didn't have much yet to get from the frig area..... will have to make due for a day or too i guess..... i miss my cheese!

we keep our fireplace going nonstop and huddled around it to keep warm.. being the pyro that i am, i totally enjoyed that part! hehe...

i'm glad to hear from all that have checked in. hoping to hear from more as well

We lucked out.  We only lost our power for about 10 hours.  It's weird how random the outages are.  I live in the Lakes region out in the boonies, someone I know in town, very few trees etc is still without power.
Gotta love NE weather.  I can't wait till I'm old enough to move to FL  for the Winter!

Hi well we are still without power, and no indication when it will be back on.  We have heat, a coal stove in the basement, which heats the whole house.  Generator went to hubby's shop.  they don't know when they will get power to the shop, which is not good.  They still have wires down in the driveway.  I don't know if he is going to bring it back and forth or not.

So I am showering at work, and checking email and such.  Puppies are home in the crate, Hubby cannot bring them to work, way too cold.

So that is where I am at this point.

Still no power for us.  Our hotel has laundry facilities, so at least we can wear clean clothes!!  And luckily the temperature is much warmer than it had been, so our cats (who have stayed in the house this whole time) should be happier.

If the power isn't on by wednesday (which is when it's supposed to get cold again) I might find somebody who will let the cats stay with them until we get heat again.

it is really difficult to make good food choices in situations like these.

Oh I agree with the food choices.  It really stinks.  We are trying not to keep too much in our fridge because we brought the generator to the shop so at least they could work, and get heat.

So good news, our body shop is back in business.  The power, phone and internet are all restored.  I think they got there so quickly because there are so many business on that road, and it is a main road to Dover.  So he is happy....Still no power at home.  UGH. At least we will have the generator!!

Hi Everyone,
We got power back last night - thank goodness. We had a generator - key word being had. It stopped working on Saturday morning. Bill thinks he may have used some very old gas - whatever was in the cans. Yesterday we went to my daughters and I brought laundry. We didn't open the credit union on Friday - no power but I was on my cell all day. We were able to open on Saturday - just one branch and the lines were incredible. Very stressful. I woke up this morning sick, sore throat and achey. But at least everyone is ok. I hope you all get power back soon!

Rosemary
