How long from consult to surgery
If you are looking for a revision, might I recommend my surgeon Dr. David B. Lautz at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. He takes on a lot of the difficult cases that other doctors will not touch plus he does bariatric research one day a week.
He may be able to help you out. He is doing a revision on a lady next week from MA with the same situation as yours. You might check out the Revision Messageboard.
He is an excellent surgeon with superior surgical skills. You can't do better than him. He does not do the DS.

He does have a long wait but once you have your consult he will give you your surgery date. You have to go to the info seminar. Call Eileen, his Admin. Asst. and ask her about getting a consult appt. Tell her you would be a revision patient. You can sign up for the info seminar online now. There is a program fee of either $500 or $550. His clinic day is Thursday. You can call Eileen on Wednesdays after noontime to see if there are any cancellations for the next day. You may be able to get in on a cancellation. He will want you to see Natalie, the head nutritionist as she takes care of the "conversions" as he calls them. You also have to apply for the blue ID card. You show that for everything at that hospital but it works out great. It probably wouldn't hurt to get a copy of your surgical records either to bring to your appt.

What do you mean by "conversions"?
I appreciate all the info you have to share!
No, the fee is not covered by insurance. The fee covers the support group meetings and all unlimited nutrition appointments. All the Boston hospitals have a program fee.
A "conversion" is a revision, that's just the word he uses to refer to his revision patients.
You will not have any insurance issues either with his office. You will get your approval pretty quickly based on "medical necessity".
