Looking to change gyms
Currently I am at Planet Fitness and I don't like it.
Anyone part of Golds or The Raquetball Club in Concord NH? Anyone know of any other 'full service' gyms in the area? Looking for a pool, classes, etc.
Think I might hire a personal trainer for a bit too. Dr. P cleared me for exercise starting next week - light cardio (without arms) and strength training. I am actually kind of excited!
Thanks!
Jenn

Hi Jenn,
You don't mention the Y - Concord Family Y? I was a member there for 5 years. I only used the pool and eventually we decided to put a lap pool in our house. Maybe the scheduling wouldn't work for you but the Y has lots to offer. And I remember I was kind of shocked when someone told me the Racket Club pool and shower facilities were in no better shape than the Y's. Both suffer from being quite old. Anyway, just some more info for you. Treading

Hi Jenn:
I was a member at the Racquet Club for many years and the bathrooms and changing areas were redone about 4 years ago. The upstairs changing area is still kinda yucky. They do offer a lot of choices in excerise and machines but it there is still the male grunting and groaning going on there.
If you are a state employee you don't have to pay too much out of pocket to belong to CRC. At least that was my experience. I ended up not going back because of an injury I had and that my office which was less than a 1/2 mile away was moved across town making going at lunchtime impossible.
What is it about Planet Fitness that you don't like because I was thinking that might be a choice since they have great hours. (At least the one in Raymond does).
