This is so weird...
So, when I was 280lbs, not exercising, eating whatever I wanted and being lazy, I NEVER got sick, NEVER! Now, I'm 212lbs, exercising, eating healthy and busier than ever.....I feel a cold coming on. Sore throat, achy bones, etc. This has happened in the past when I have lost weight too. I just find it weird....that's all.

PS-and my ass is killing me from a Jazzercise routine that I "thought" was doing nothing for me. I guess it's working!
LOL...too funny. It is working in many ways....look at your weight loss!
So, you are probably getting sicker because you ARE out there more....getting germs from people at Jazzercise (guess you are getting a lot more than you thought!) and just being out in public more.
I find that zinc really helps in fighting colds, and now they have it in melt a ways and other stuff that is easy for us to swallow.
Rest...drink lots of liquids...the same old routine. Just be very careful, my husband is recovering from pneumonia.....very nasty stuff. He has been sick for over a month.

Thanks Martha,
My "cold" is/was just what I tell my kids. After I was up & moving, I felt fine. Thank goodness because we're having a party tomorrow night with my husbands co-workers (ugh!) Not looking forward to it, but because I'm such a nice wife, I'm letting him have the party.
I weighed in today and I'm down to 208.8! All I ever ask of myself is to be lower than the week before (even if it's .2lb lower.) I was very pleasantly surprised today!
I agree about your statements above about why I may be getting sick. When I was 280lbs, I would hide inside and only go out when I had to. Now I don't mind going out in public.
Tonight is TorT in Hooksett. I have absolutely NO desire for candy. This is the first year in a very long time that I didn't have to go out to get more candy because I ate too much of the stuff I bought before TorT. I'll be handing out the candy while My husband take our 2 boys. My 13 year old daughter is going with a friend (I told her she's too old, but she doesn't care), and my 15 year old daughter is handing out candy at a neighbor's house while she takes her kids out.
Off to change my ticker! Have a great day!
Lisa
