I am 5 months out on the 30 .

I just recently started tracking on dailyplate, and somedays I am at 600 calories and today I am at a whopping 980 !!!!

I have lost approx. 54 from the day of surgery and a total from 1st weigh in of  76.

Is close to 1000 calories too high for 5 months out??

PS : carbs were low, protein was high, fiber high, sugars low ....

I don't think it should really be that big of a deal, since you are still loosing, and getting your protein in.  It sounds like you are doing things just right.  I know my calorie count varies from day to day.

I try to stay under 1,000 calories, but that's just me.  And that's where I was when I was 5 months out, too.  My rules for myself were get in at least 60 g. protein, 60oz. water/liquid and keep it under 1,000 calories.  The week right before my period sometimes I'd get cravings, fall a little off the wagon (not completely off but still eating more carby stuff than usual) and then I'd find I sometimes went over my thousand calories.

I think you're doing fine, Jen.  Stay the course, be patient.  You've lost over 50lbs in less than 5 months!  How cool is that!!!!!  Your prime window of opportunity is 12-18 months.  Give it time.  You'll get there.

Lord, give me stregth and when I lack it, patience.
