Great News!

Hi All,
I saw Gens yesterday and I have a badly torn muscle.  Isn't that wonderful?  I'm absolutely thrilled becasue I was conviced I had done a serious injury to my right side during my recent face-first fall in the yard.  I went to that apt with sheer stark terror in my belly but Gens finds no hernia or anything needing ....intervention.  Oh, it hurts something fierce and at times I can hardly move.  But those are spasms.  I can take muscle relaxants but otherwise I just need time for it to heal.  Music to my ears.  I am so happy.

Things on the food front are improving though very slowly.  I tried soy powder in water yesterday but it was simply too disgusting to drink.  I'm going to try a chocolate whey powder in water today.  Vitalady says to mix the powders with water or crystal light or flat soda.  Hmmm...  Complicated.  I have some Nectars, vanilla and the chocolate ( all whey) and the soy.  I guess I just have to keep experimenting.  Nervous-making because as I sip anything I have a chant going on in my head, "Must not dump, must not wretch!"  Doesn't really enhance the culinary experience.  LOL.  But I had soem chicken salad with light mayo yesterday and it went down just fine.  So that's good news.  Treading

I'm glad things are better. I pulled a muscle in my abdomen during my recovery as well, and was convinced I had a hernia.  It was awful!  Once it starts to heal, though, it heals quickly.  Just be careful.
