Baby Steps
Hello Friends,
I'm sitting here with 62 g of sauteed scallops and it tastes real good. Things are looking up. I'm eating those tiny jars of strained baby meats and now I'm adding small amts of fish and scallops. I saw the doc yesterday and we agree that I will not risk any powders until I heal up the tear on my left side. My protein intake will be sub-par but we can't see anyway past that. I'm just so relieved that I'm tolerating the meats that I'll take it. So I am now able to eat baby meats, egg beaters, cod and scallop. All pure proteins.
I am able to take walks outside and I even walked dogs with my neighbor today for 40 minutes. I'm a slow-poke but it isn't a race, either. All in all, I am making good progress. I still have the diarrhea but it is well controlled by the imodium. Of course, living on under 300 calories doesn't afford me much energy so I'm still pretty weak. But I'm on my way. Success right now is simply the absence of dry-heaves. The rest is gravy. Thinking about you all. Treading

Okay, I am jealous that you can walk for 40 minutes and eat scallops. I had some eggbeaters last night and it was like heaven.
I am glad that you are doing what you are to make you comfortable and get your protein in. I truly hope this works for you and you heal fast(er) and do not have probelms further out.
