What were you eating at 6 weeks out? Vitamin ? too.
I'll be 6 weeks out tomorrow. I still can't keep down chicken, beef, pork. I can eat soup, eggs, cereal, ground beef. Just wondering if it's normal not to be able to eat meat at this stage?
Is it ok to take all your vitamins at once? Like throw them in your mouth and drink some water? Sometimes if I don't do that, it takes me forever to get them all down. Also, how do you get all your calcium pills in? I can never remember to take them throughout the day.
And 1 last question. Can I ever go back to a multi-vitamin pill rather than staying with a chewable multi-vitamin forever?

Hi Lisa,
I still have trouble with chicken - sometimes it works others it doesn't. I have not attempted pork yet. Turkey is my new best friend. I still cook my meat in a liquid to keep it moist.
I take my vitamins throught the day. In the beginning I made a chart and hung it on the fridge. Every Sunday I "pack" my vitamins for the week in little baggies. If you walk in my office they are sitting on my desk so I don't forget to take them:) Still doing the chewables. When I saw Jackie a few weeks ago she told me not to take the calcium Citrate petites until I saw Dr. Looser in mid October. She thought they might be a little too big. My daughters recall doing chewables for the first 6 months.

I thought I would never forget the stages/timelines for when I started feeling better, when I started exercising again, when I started eating certain foods, pills, etc., but I have forgotten -- and it only took me a year. Boy, it sure is tough to get old!
Anyway, I still have a hard time with some dense meats, like pork especially, but I can eat it if I take my time and chew, chew, chew. What you need to do with the meat right now is to make it so that it's very moist. As for chicken, I remember that I ate a lot of chicken thighs, as opposed to breasts, because the dark meat was softer and went down better.
As for the mutlis, I take the Rite Aid brand called One Daily. They're really small. I've been taking them almost from the beginning. I also take viactiv for the calcium. I know that it's calcium caltrate, not citrate, but the nut at Tufts said that it's fine to take that type of calcium. I like the taste, like a chocolate caramel, so it feels like a treat. I take one in the a.m. after my shake and one at night after dinner. As far as my other pills, I do take them all at once. I really can't be bothered trying to remember pills or to have to carry them around with me.

Thanks. Now that I think of it, I don't really want to eat chicken or pork. I guess I tried it because it has lots of protein. I would like steak, but the last time I ate it, I didn't tolerate it and it came back up. I still think I need more protein in my diet...
Maybe I'll start taking the Viactiv's. I bought a huge container at BJ's and was told to take the calcium citrate. I guess taking the Viactivs are better than not taking the huge calcium citrate pills??? The Viactivs are yummy.

Ill be honest, It took me almost 3 months to eat any dense meat. I would try and try but it just wasn't happening. So I did lots of eggs and cheese.
I take Viactiv's cus they are a tasty treat! Im also on a liquid vit D so I take that 3 times a week.
I take 2 multi centrum chewablesa day too. I don't think about when I take them, as long as i
REMEMBER to take them Im happy. O yeah, If you are feeling sluggish I also take a sublinguil B12 once a week... seems to boost me a bit.
You are doing fine. By the time month 6 rolls around you will be an old pro at this :)
