What's the best news you've ever gotten?

For me, it was the news that I was pregnant.  We had tried for almost four years and had visited several doctors (specialists) who all told us we wouldn't be able to get pregnant without a high tech (and expensive) procedure.  Getting pregnant was the biggest surprise AND the best news I've ever gotten.

That the mass they removed from my right breast was benign.  And that my daughter gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby boy two and a half years ago!!!

After much though, the best thing I've ever had anyone say to me was "I forgive you."

Lord, give me stregth and when I lack it, patience.

I would have to agree with the first post.  My son is an IVF baby, so he is a special miracle, that was a LONG time coming.

Our oldest daughter was diagnosed with retinoblastoma at the age of 1 (cancer of the retina) and had her right eye removed.  The day of her surgery, the doctor said they believed that they got all the cancer, and each followup check after that when they said that they found nothing was wonderful news.  Our other daughter also had it, but because we knew to look for it at a much younger age because of her older sister, she did not need her eye removed.  But she had periodic check-ups too, so every time that she passed with a clean bill of health, we again took a sigh of relief.  Best news ever, each and every time we were told that they were okay.
