What's the best thing that happened to you over the weekend?

I was cleaning out clothes to donate, and I found a pair of size 16P (not 16WP) jeans.  For chuckles I tried them on....and they fit.  I wore them all day!!! 

Wow- good for you!!

We found fill for our yard DIRT cheap.  hahahahahahhahaha.

That's exciting!

I just had a great weekend all-around.  But the best part was Saturday.  DH and I were both in a good mood, and we spent a couple of hours working on my in-laws' old bedroom set, which we are going to try and refinish.  Then we went shopping for a new medicine cabinet for our daughter's bathroom that we just redid (she's not just our daughter, but she's also our tenant :)).  Then we had a nice dinner (turkey clubs, but yummy) and watched the Red Sox together.  There was a lot of crap that had to be done, nothing fun, but we spent a lot of time together, and it just felt good to spend some time with him. 

Yesterday was really nice too.  My Mom came down from the lake, and we canned tomatoes, made homemade spaghetti sauce (which we ate for dinner).  I planted some mums.  My daughter and her boyfriend came for dinner too, and they watched the Pats with DH.  He started stripping that bedroom set - and it looks really nice - yay! 

So we all kept busy all weekend, but for some reason, it was still relaxing.  I think it's cuz we usually go to my Mom's at the lake, which we love to do, but it was nice to stay home for one weekend and get some stuff done at our place for a change. 

I had a very nice weekend. We spent it in MA at my daughters. DH and SIL worked on their new deck while my daughter and I and the baby went shopping. On Sunday my late brothers wife and daughters came for dinner. When he passed he was seperated from his wife so it was a bit akward. I'm very close with my nieces but have drifted from my sister in law. We are really making an effort to regain our closeness. We had a great day together.
I must admit though the best part was spent on the floor with my Nathaniel

Sometimes it's just really nice to stay home and get things done.

Hmmmm.... I was rushed to the ER via ambulance at 2am on Saturday morning... So I would say that the best thing that happened was that I was told I did NOT have a bowel perforation (which is what the doctor thought at first.) and I got to leave the hospital around noon!
