So...my surgery was just Tuesday, but i'm wondering about this left sided pain.  Its pretty significant, worse than i thought.  The percocet help, though, i hate how they knock me out.  I'm just feeling a little frustrated and thought i would be feeling better than this by now.  Any input about this pain, and when it will start getting better??

I think it's norrnal, and I think you'll start to improve by the middle of next week.  Keep taking the percocet if you need them and let them knock you out.  It will be no time at all when you'll start feeling better.  Remember, this was major surgery, and you aren't able to eat much to regain your strength.  You should also expect to tire easily for a couple of weeks.  The left-side pain is always the worse because that's where Dr. Kim makes the first hole and uses the biggest instrument.  Hang in there.  I'm sorry you're having the pain, but it will be all worth it - trust me!

Left side pain is pretty common because that is where they do most of their work.  Some people that lingers for quite some time.  I was able to be off most narcotics within five days except night time.....everyone is different.
