Need help with eating!!!
Hi Jennifer, ok here's a typical day -
B - Protien shake - I use Unjury and simply smart fat free milk
L - 3 oz ground turkey, 2 oz of veggie - zucchini and muchrooms are my favs plus 1/4 cup of shredded low fat cheese. I usually cook it in tomato sauce or Fage yogurt.
D - 3 oz meat or tuna 2 oz of veggie usually in a tomato sauce.
Somtime I make the sauce with salsa and fage yogurt. It's very good and adds protien.
Sometimes for dinner I have some protien ice cream. I very seldom have a snack - only if I'm going to be late getting home from work. I saw Jackie last week and she told me I needed to add some carbs - whole grains, sweet potato. I'm going to try next week. I also have had watermelon a couple of times and it was fine. I had a small salad once and it was ok too. I wonder sometimes if I could or should eat more because I'm exercising and I had my first 1 lb loss for a week last week. This week is better back up to 3.
maybe you should only do one shake a day. Have you called Jackie?
Are you thinking about going to the support meeting on the 8th? I've gotten some good tips from other people.
I am down to 1 shake per day, usually in the morning. I occasionally use the CIB, but have switched more and more to the protein shakes with simply smart milk. I have tuna or chicken strips cooked in broth with cheese for lunch. I also have a low sodium V8 juice...one of the very small ones, mixed with water. Dinner I have swordfish, salmon, lean steak or chicken, with some kind of veggie or carb.
If I have a snack, I might have sugar free pudding, or some fruit mixed with Fage yogurt and a little splenda.
I would drop to one shake a day, and try and get in your other foods.
