Can you give more info on the wool/fiber arts festival and wool tour?  My Mom and I are knitters, and I think they sound like something my Mom and I would enjoy.

Perfect, Kathy, because the Sheep & Wool Growers Festival is always held on Mother's Day weekend at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds.  The Wool Arts Tour is always held on Columbus Day weekend.

The fair is much what you'd expect with a heavy emphasis on regional artists actually practicing their craft (spinning, weaving and so on), tons of animals, tons of yarn and fibers, and even mini-classes to take.  Much to purchase as well.

The Tour is similar but it takes place at 5-6 area farms or homes and you travel to them and stay however long you want.  Many vendors set up tents and exhibit their wares and it runs the gammit from yarn to soaps and dried flowers.  We do the tour accross two days and always end up at the Mirage Alpaca Farm in Washington because its just so big, so very cool, and has great food for sale by the Washington Historical Society.  All the tour stops are in the Henniker/Hillsboro/Antrim part of the state.  Pretty country.  A knitter's dream come true - these two events.  I am not connected in any other way except as a particpant! I have no financial interest.  LOL.
