8/28 QOTD: Weekend plans?

What are your plans for the weekend?

We might go to Clark's Trading Post.  Since I am just not quite two weeks post-op I don't want to do anything with 'too much' walking.  Clark's is usually a pretty good time and it is not as big as say Santa's Village or Story Land.....

Other than that....close the pool?  We have tried for the past few years keeping the pool open in Sept. thinking the kids might like it after a hot day at school---but we never get much use out of it.  Might as well close her down.  Too bad---August was pretty much a bust with the icky weather...but we were in there A LOT in July.  Sigh.  Where did the summer go?

I"d like to know where summer went too.  We spent a lot of time at my Mom's, but I only went in the water twice (and only once was voluntary)!  It's just been too cool or too wet.  I hope we have a nice foliage season.  I've noticed that some of the trees are already starting to turn color.  I'm not happy about summer being over because it seems that winter lasted forever, but I do love fall, so I hope that weather sticks around a while at least. 

Last winter really did seem like it lasted forever.  I think I heard one of the weathermentsaying that traditionally, when we have a summer like the one we just had, we get a mild winter afterwards.  Let's keep our fingers crossed!

I don't know....the Farmer's Almanac is calling for a colder and wetter winter than usual.  What is usual?  Last year was like the winters of my youth.  Liked them back then, but now...ugh.  

Where did summer go?  Now that school has started, of COURSE the weather is beautiful!!  LOL!

I know.  Did we really  have a summer?  I seem to remember at least a week of hot, hot weather, sun, lots of humidity.  Never had that this year...just rain!!!!  I know....want some cheese with that whine!

We're heading to my Mom's on the lake.  Can't beat that!

I've done Story Land and Santa's village but never Clarks. I've seen the comercial and thought we should go there. Maybe next summer when our grandson is a little older. We did York Animal Kingdom and he cried on the merry go round. Well he actually shook :( poor baby.

Bill is picking up our little guy tonight. Nicole doesn't have school tomorrow and she really can't be alone with him all day so papa wants him all to himself. Nic and Charlie will be up on Saturday but will go home on Sunday to avoid the traffic.
We usually keep our pool open until October but that's when it was heated. The heater died a few weeks ago and the water is about 68 degrees. Way to cold.

My friends went to Clark's last year, and they loved it.  They said they had the best time.  They had no kids, just went themselves.
