I am so sorry Jenn.  I just don't know what to say but that.  I just feel so awful for you. 

I should finish reading the thread beore I reply.  That's awful about your surgery.  I know how frusterated you must be.  It's so hard when your THAT CLOSE to going through such a big change, walking through a door that seperates part of your life into a before and then after - only to find out you still have longer to wait.

I wish you all the best.  I really hope they can get you in soon.

My surgery is (might not be) scheduled for 9/5.  I too got a call from the office saying that my appointment today was canceled and that they were going to call me to reschedule once they knew just when she was coming back.  I didn't get a call before they closed today so I am thinking that I too will be canceled.  I was suppose to find out who was assisting at my appointment today but alas it was not to be.  I feel your pain, I still have a glimmer of hope that she will be back before the 5th.  I suppose we have to look on the bright side - would we want someone who is really ill to work on rerouting our insides!  Keep your chin up, it will happen.  I still have to go to my pre-op meeting on Wednesday night and my pre-op testing is Friday so at least if and when either my original date or another date comes available I will be ready.

Interesting.... I was suppose to have my 6 month check up on thursday with Nancy and Dr P.

I'm really sorry about your surgery Jenn. Mine is still on as far as I know.  It's 5:45 and no one from the office has called.  I got the last of my blood work done around 2:30 and nothing was said at the hospital about surgeries being cancelled.  RIght now I'm packing my overnight bag and waiting on the hospital to call with a time.  I hope you can get your surgery rescheduled sooner.  Good Luck

Add-on:  I got my phone call from the hospital and I have to be there by 6:30.  I t looks like I'm still  on with Dr Gens.

Erica at AS said I can reschedule my surgery.  3 and a half weeks from now.

I am beyond devestated,  I asked if Gens/Looser could do it.  Yes,but it may not be any sooner than when I could get in with Dr. P.

Been waiting so long and have worked so hard.  Been off my arthritis meds for awhile before surgery,  Guess it'll be longer.

It's not fair.  :sigh:

It certainly isn't fair, Jenn.  I'd be the last to suggest there is any bright side to having the emotional gears grounded to a halt in this way.  Curse and sulk and toss a tantrum or two - you deserve.  And maybe it will help pass the time.  LOL.  And in the end, the time will pass.  Poor you.
