Gretchen Wison, speaking out for lap-banding
Although I'm hoping to have RNY later this year, I thought I'd pass this on to you folks.
I was listening to WOKQ this morning (that's a country radio station) and singer/song writter Gretchen Wilson was on doing an interview. Seems the nanny she hired for her kids has struggled with obesity for some time. Gretchen was approached by Lap Band to be a spokesperson for them. Her nanny had the procedure a couple months ago and is doing great. Gretchen was scheduled to do an interview about it a while back, but was pre-empted by the govenor speaking about the tornado we had. I don't have a lot of details, just caught the interview on the fly. However, I thought it was great to have a celebrity speaking out on behalf of the obese population and WLS as an option for us!
