Schools are coming closer to starting once again, any particular memories/thoughts associated with this time of year?

Even though it was stressful to find clothes to fit, I always liked back-to-school shopping except, like I said, I was in Sears "Chubbies" exclusively.  Imagine - they called their larger sizes that back then.  Not that today's "Pretty Plus" is much better.  Why can't the sizes all be called "Girls" from the first to the last.  Goes the same for misses.  Why can't they all just be in one range, 0 to 52 or whatever?!?!?  When I was in grade school, we used to buy our school supplies at Woolworth's and Leavitt's, both on Elm Street in Manchester.

I'm just glad my kids are in high school and I don't have to buy all the supplies.  All they need is pens, pencils and notebooks.  Grammer school they have to have glue, color pencils, the works! And everything has to be labeled.  We have so much school supplies accumulate from over the years.  The girls in high school don't even use backpacks anymore they use big canvas bags or some use Gucci bags.

Good Grief Kathy, I loved Leavitts!  How about the staffed elevator and the First and a Half floor with the balcony railing!  I always loved the feeling of a new beginning that came with every school year.  So many things seemed possible in those first few weeks.
