Hi all!  My name is Regina.  I'm going to have the GBS.  I don't have a surgery date yet.  I'm going through Dr. Wagner's Behavior Modification class right now.  I see Nancy again on the 13th.  So I'm hoping that I will have reached my weight loss goal by then.  I'm really close.  I just saw her like 2 1/2 weeks ago.  I'm not really sure what will happen at that point.  So cross your fingers that I've dropped the last 3 lbs.  So anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself.  Anybody else on here a military wife??

Hi Regina,

Welcome, you will like everyone here, they are wonderful.  I am not a military wife, but also a wife, mother and grandmother!!  I grew up in Portsmouth when Pease was an airforce base, so I knew a few military wives.  Don't you love Dr. Wagner's classes....they are a hoot.  Quite informative. Have you gone to a support group?  I like the Portsmouth group, but Derry is wonderful also.

So good luck with your weight loss, and let us know when you get a date.

Hi Regina:
Welcome.  I just had my band put in 2 weeks ago and already lost 16lbs.  I currently live in Hooksett, NH but we lived in Kittery Point for 5 years.  From 2000-2005.  How long have you lived there?  My friend works at the Navy yard.  My son and hers still keep in touch and visit each other.  My brother also just retired from the Navy.  He was Navy Air and his wife at the GBS while they were stationed in New London, CT.

Hi Regina:

Welcome!  This is a great place and you've picked a really good practice to get your surgery done by.  I'm not a military wife, but I AM an Army Brat.

Dr. Wagner's groups are really helpful.  Keep those spokes and wheels going!

Thank You Everyone for making me feel so welcome!  I have done one support group meeting which was last month in Portsmouth.  I've lived in this area for 2 years and will be transferring to Hawaii at the end of the year.  I originally was supposed to be here for less than a year, but things are always changing.  I'm glad though.  I'm so thankful that I found this program to go through.  My Aunt back home didn't have a "program", and she hasn't lost any weight Lap Band post op which was the end of May.  I'm glad to have the classes and support groups.

Here's my Welcome, too!  Dang storms kept my PC down all weekend so I couldn't post.  Good luck with that weioght loss.  I'm PRH too and my surgery is in 5 weeks.  Yikes!  The programs take time but it really does provide so many tools and great support.  No military connections at all for me.  Nice to meet you, Regina.  Treading
