nh clothing exchange

i know there is a clothing exchange on here for the entire country. but it just seems like it would make more sense if it could be regional..........
kinda like meeting up and giving your outshrunk clothes away instead of spending tons of money on shipping......... an exchange of a decaf cup of coffee and a few good laughs and clothing sounds better to me...........

i have clothes i will NOT be using anymore.........i know i could just drop them in good will, but i like the thought of giving them to someone that has and is walking down this same journey as me. does that make sense?

does anyone ever think about this?

i don't have someone that i know to give them too......... I was the fat friend kinda thing( rollin eyes)

Well, I haven't had surgery yet, but I think that would be cool.  I actually have two very nice and not cheap tops if anyone is that size.  One is a black satin button up belted jacket top from Lane Bryant size 22/24 and the other is a 3/4 sleeve Teal button up Cord. Jacket from Macy's size 18W but fits more like a 20-22W.  They are very gently used, so have a lot of life left in them.  If anyone is interested, let me know.

Why don't we create our own exchange?  We could make it a part of the support group meetings or something....What does everyone else think?

I think that's a good idea.  Unfortunately, I've given away all of my larger clothes already, but I do have a pair of size 14 black pinstripe slacks from J.C. Penney that I bought this past spring and hardly wore, if anyone's interested.

I would be interested in them.  I'm still pre-op, but in between 16 and 18 now.  So it would be nice to have something for my next size down after surgery.

I think that's a good idea to make it part of the meetings.
